In 2009, the Festival’s main guest was Czech, a country where many artists who are now among the classics of world photography were born and worked. Then, the Special Guest presentation was made up of three solo exhibitions, two group exhibitions, one event on the border between exhibition and happening, and a rich educational program: documentary film screenings, meetings with curators and artists, presentation of photographic albums, and much more. The leitmotif of the Festival’s Main Programme was the Archive. The organisers’ ambition was to deconstruct the concept and attempt to examine the functioning of archives in culture, society, history and collective memory.
In 2010, the Festival's Main Programme was dominated by British photography. The Festival was also the arena for the final of two photo contests: the sittcomm.award – aimed at professionals from Central and Eastern or Southern Europe, and the ShowOFF Section – which allows young talent to exhibit before demanding Krakow audiences.
