The events accompanying the exhibitions at Photomonth 2013 are an integral part of the Main Programme at this year’s festival. Throughout the month, workshops and meetings with artists will take place, including a new series this year.
The Masters Series meetings aim to present the festival audience with the personalities and experiences of the artists, their artistic accomplishments and an individual view of the art of photography. The meetings and presentations of visual materials (including film) will be an excellent opportunity for art enthusiasts to get to know, and perhaps even speak to, renowned artists. This is a chance for you to meet the artists who inspire you and listen to their stories – photography-related and otherwise.
The Photomonth audience is invited to Masters Series meetings with Walter Pfeiffer, Simon Menner, F.C. Gundlach, Zbigniew Libera, Marie Schuller (SHOWstudio), Tadeusz Rolke and Oliver Chanarin.

One of Poland’s most interesting and important artists. His works – photographs, video films, installations, objects and drawings – have an incisive and intellectually perverse way of playing with the stereotypes of contemporary culture. In recent years he has mostly been involved in photography, especially press photography and its unique character, and how the media shape our visual memory and manipulate the image of history (Positives and Masters series, 2003).
